Easy Sheds: bringing quality vinyl garden sheds to kiwi backyards

Easy Sheds Limited is a family owned business formed in 2006 out of sheer frustration in not being able to find a decent kitset garden shed in New Zealand.

With a nice new house, we didn't want to settle for some ugly tin shed, nor were we prepared to fork out for a custom-built structure requiring council permits and a builder to install it.

We wanted a kitset garden shed that was good looking, durable and affordable. It also had to be low maintenance: leisure time is for relaxing and doing things we enjoy, not spending precious weekends on never-ending repairs to the garden shed before even getting to the gardening!

We searched the internet and found a new vinyl shed that ticked all the boxes. But buying one was a different story. Such a great product, but with no-one importing this vinyl technology, we just couldn't get one in New Zealand.

The solution was simple: start a business importing and selling these great looking, durable vinyl sheds to other Kiwis.

We set up a company and contacted the Israeli manufacturer, and three months later the first shipment arrived. Easy Sheds was open for business!

Today Easy Sheds is still supplying New Zealand gardeners and home handymen and women with the best quality, value for money Garden Sheds and Greenhouses available.

Growing the Easy Sheds range to fit the needs of NZ customers

Easy Sheds Ltd is now New Zealand's sole importer and distributor of the DuraMax range; one of America's leading brands of Greenhouses and Garden Sheds. Although our original garden sheds performed well in New Zealand, we needed to evolve to meet what the market demanded, including more shed designs to choose from, and additional features like optional window kits.

Our search began for a PVC shed manufacturer that offered a more complete range of sizes and designs, and other upgraded features. DuraMax ticked all the boxes.

Easy Sheds in the Community: giving kids a greener future

At Easy Sheds we believe that gardening and 'Do-it-Yourself' projects can be fabulous outdoor and environmentally-friendly hobbies for everyone.

To encourage new generations to take an interest in gardening, Easy Sheds sponsors three primary schools in the Motueka area, by donating greenhouses. Each school now has their own gardening clubs, with most of the kids taking their new gardening knowledge home to share with their families; starting up 'big gardens' at home. It gets the children excited about growing their own seedlings and seeing the real results, and is a great ongoing project that we're proud to be involved in.
